January 2012 - Part 2: The Transits

January 2012 marks the final month of Neptune's journey through the sign of Aquarius. When Neptune moves into Pisces on February 4, 2012, the human race will begin a whole new cycle of experiences. (Read previous post - Finishing Up the Lessons: Neptune's Last Dance in Aquarius).

On Christmas Day, 2011, Jupiter the planet of expansion went direct. This started the forward motion of the planet of money and gain. Whatever Jupiter touches it expands, and if it is making contact with a planet in your personal chart you may experience some type of increase or growth. Jupiter is in Taurus, the ruler of the second house of money, and a great placement considering the worldwide economic situation. Jupiter in Taurus has kept the financial situation in the US from becoming worse than it was in 2011. It will be in Taurus until June 11. Those born under the sign of Aries should see financial gain this year, as well as Libra. A helpful placement for Taurus, Capricorn, and Virgo. (Much depends upon what other planets are transiting your personal chart).

We begin the New Year with Uranus at the 0 degree Aries point, or the World Point. Aries at 0 degrees relates to events that affect the entire world. At the time of this post, we are experiencing a worldwide economic downturn, Iran is threatening to interfere with oil shipments, Syria is fighting its own bloody civil war, and North Korea laid its head of state to rest, facing a future with an untested leader. US President Obama has asked Congress for an increase in the debt ceiling, the Presidential race is heating up, and Occupy Protesters have gained momentum. All these events can affect the world, and Uranus will remain at the 0 degree point through January 9, when it moves to 1 degree. The world has seen a lot of turbulence with this transit and will continue to be an unsettled, if not hostile place in many respects as Uranus squares Pluto becoming exact in June of 2012, as well as August-September. Pluto and Uranus have about an 8 degree orb, as astrologers say, which means the square is basically in effect all of this 2012. As it becomes exact, the energy intensifies and events/change occurs. The combination of the two planets will bring potential earth changes, conflict and clashes, situations involving oil and nuclear conflicts, as well as conflict with business, banking, economics, politics, and structures that have been solid in the past. It is a volatile disruptive transit and we will see continued military hostilities around the globe. This will make 2012 a very challenging year.

Other significant transits for January include:

January 1 - Mercury squares Mars at 19 degrees of Sagittarius. This is an argumentative transit looking for a fight or disagreement. Be aware of your mood and don't contribute energy to the transit.

January 8 - Mercury enters Capricorn, changing Mercurial energy and ushering in a more conservative month when it comes to communications. Mercury rules our mind and Capricorn is the natural ruler of the tenth house of business. Back to work, and focus on what is important! Mercury trines Jupiter on this day, bringing optimism to conversations and thoughts. Good morning for financial transactions. By 1:05PM Mercury leaves the positive trine and applies to a square to Uranus. Mercury square Uranus may result in a change of focus that occurs suddenly. It can result in arguments, bad moods, and lead to technical difficulties or accidents. Be careful driving and be aware that whatever occurs will happen suddenly and unpredictably.

January's full Moon occurs on January 9, at 2:30 AM EST at 18 degrees of Cancer. Cancer full moons are the most emotional of all, and moods can change quickly. Issues relating to the home, family members or close relationships will be in focus. Mercury square Uranus bringing sudden unexpected news in some cases, and expect to experience mood changes or be around those who do. You may have sudden flashes of insight, but write it down or it could leave as quickly as it came. It is likely we will hear unexpected news of accidents, volatile debates, and news involving the home, homeland, or families. Weather conditions may be erratic as may vehicles on the road. Be careful!

January 13 - Mercury conjuncts Pluto. This is a harsh and obsessive transit. Anytime a planet aspects Pluto the tendency is to obsess. In a more positive vein it is a great transit for researching, planning and getting to the bottom of any issue. Information may be revealed. Today is about getting answers and superficial will not suffice. We may hear of accidents, information revealed about powerful people, and Mercury-Pluto transits generally involve situations concerning media and/or propaganda. Information comes into the open about important matters, that can include business. The news may be about sex or scandals involving public figures. Venus conjuncts Neptune on the same day, and this is a transit of duplicity and distortion. Venus is the planet of love and money and Neptune is the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion. Put the two together and you have romance, illusion, intrigue and drama, and revelations. The Great Medieval Courts of the Middle Ages could have contained no more drama than this. You should not assume anything to be totally true or correct until this energy passes over. This will be a day many will try to convince or be convinced by others. Remember, appearances are deceiving and only facts speak the truth. Venus-Neptune marks the final planetary transit to Neptune, as it leaves Aquarius, other than Saturn. This transit will be significant if you were born January 11-14, May 17-20, August 19-22, November 17-21, or you have a personal planet in your natal chart being aspected at 25-29 degrees of Aquarius.

January 14 - Venus enters Pisces. The planet of love enters the sign ruling the sixth house of service and work. Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the planet of illusion, delusion, confusion and lack of clarity. Neptune works best with little ego and this will be one of the lessons of Venus's 29 day journey through Pisces. Works best for Water and Earth signs.

January 19 - The Sun squares Saturn. This is a hard aspect, all about responsibilities, limitations, and restrictions. On this day we may hear news of courts, and laws, as well as restrictive situations. Not a good day for financial news, and may be especially harsh if it is hitting a personal planet in your natal chart aspected by Capricorn at 26-29 degrees.

January 20 - The Sun enters Aquarius. Aquarius is a fixed sign generally associated with freedom and independence. Ruled by Uranus (and Saturn) Aquarius is about non-conformity and rebellion. I have seen many wars and military skirmishes start with the Sun or other planets in Aquarius. You may discover new possibilities this month.

January 21 - The Sun sextiles Uranus, a positive, uplifting transit, indicative of inspiration and new ideas. January 22, the Sun squares Jupiter. Jupiter has a tendency to over-do things. Keep it in perspective, and you may have a good weekend.

January 23 - We have a New Moon at 23 degrees of Aquarius. The New Moon sextiles Uranus, and this moon may well bring new inspirations, ideas and developments. This moon is about freedom, original inspiration and getting out of a rut. We will likely hear news of revolutions, governments and new ideas.

January 24 - Mars retrogrades at 23 degrees of Virgo. The planet of action retrogrades roughly every several years. Mars rules action and men, sex and vitality and when Mars retrogrades look for action to slow down and become more subtle. Mars will remain retrograde until April 14, when it will go direct at 3 degrees of Virgo. Mars remains in Virgo until July 4. You will be affected more so if you are a Virgo or born under a mutable sign: Gemini, Sagittarius or Virgo. Mars in Virgo relates to work situations and health. This period will usher in a more hypercritical energy, minutiae, worry and a generally overly critical period. Good for analyzing, but bad if projected toward others. There may be much dissatisfaction with work, and concerns over health and healthcare. I will address this aspect in a future blog in the near future. Look for news about health and healthcare, work, jobs, and bank audits.

January 27 - Mercury opposes Saturn. This is harsh energy indicative of concern with responsibilities, serious or negative news, arguments, accidents, and critical concerns. We may hear of accidents, hostile debates, changes in laws and governments, and many people will be concerned with serious matters. Relationships can break apart. This will affect your personal chart if you have personal planets aspected at 25-29 degrees of Libra.

January 28 - Mercury enters Aquarius. We are entering the fixed part of the winter with the Sun and planet of communication in the sign ruling freedom and detachment. Mercurial energy will change from conservative Capricorn to a sign that is generally lighter, freer and less concerned with tradition. I expect much news from the Middle East and other places and people around the globe who seek freedom.

January 2012 - Part 1: Finishing up the Lessons (Neptune's Last Dance in Aquarius)

January 2012 marks the final month the much misunderstood planet of illusion, confusion, delusion and spirituality journeys its final 34 days in the sign of freedom, revolution, and detachment. Neptune entered Aquarius January 30, 1998 for the first time, and moves into Pisces February 4, 2012. This will be a whole new realm of lessons and ideas for humans to process and evolve with.

Neptune transits generally last 13-14 years in duration, and when Neptune changes signs the world changes with it. Neptune changes things on a feeling level. Neptune reflects the longings, dreams and desires of the collective as well as the individual, whether they be political, artistic, or even a religious. In mythology, Neptune is connected with the mermaid and the sea, beckoning mortal man to submerge himself. Some could call it a union with God or the infinite, and it becomes enticing because you no longer feel the separateness that exists between man and God. Neptune influences urge us to merge, whether it be with God or another individual. Neptune influences our deepest, most primal feelings and urges both collectively and individually.

Astrology deals with many different levels of existence and being. One level is the collective consciousness, and events that affect everyone living on planet earth. Another level is individual consciousness and growth. During years of great conflict such as we will face in 2012, we must all participate to some degree in worldly events as they occur, but we must remain individual entities with our own path to follow. We can never lose sight of the fact that as human beings we are growing and changing, and follow our greatest potential. During all difficult times the world has experienced, individuals will prosper, grow and love in spite of worldly events.

Neptune in Aquarius has been concerned with the themes of the planets that rule Aquarius: Uranus and Saturn. Saturn represents our structure and foundation, and Uranus rules sudden and unexpected situations, upheavals and revolutions that can occur. It is the planet per say of revolution, change and new ideas.

At no time was this more apparent than 09-11-2001. Neptune was at 6 degrees of Aquarius, and Saturn in Gemini opposed Pluto in Sagittarius at 12-14 degrees. Boundaries became blurred at this time and freedom was questioned. Freedoms of the American people came into question with the Patriot Act, and freedom for citizens to travel and operate freely across the globe soon came into question. Osama Bin Laden eventually claimed responsibility for the bombings blaming the U.S. support of Israel, presence of U.S. troops in Saudi Arabia, and U.S. sanctions against Iraq as his reasons for the bombing. All of these reasons imply the theme of freedom on another level. Neptune rules religion and in the eyes of many, including then President George Bush, who used the word "Crusade" to describe his war against the people he called "evildoers." Bush believed the United States of America a Christian nation, and that the government should be used to promote Christian religious projects. General Wesley Clark reported in his book the White House drew up a list of exclusively Muslim nations to target as enemies over the next four years (Afghanistan, Iraq, then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Iran, Somalia and the Sudan).

At the time of this post, Arab Spring has become Arab Winter 2011-2012 as the revolutions throughout the Middle East continue, and citizens voice their desire for a new kind of life and government. Gone are the cruel dictators of Libya, Egypt and North Korea. As Neptune moves into Pisces time will reveal the future of these countries and whether self governing democracy and free elections will succeed in this part of the world.

On American soil the Occupy movement gained momentum with citizens calling for freedom from corruption, and unfair banking and financial practices, along with the right for all citizens to have health care. Politicians and would be contenders decry the unfair foreclosures and Wall Street practices. Contenders to the White House bring freedoms of women into question raising questions about a woman's right to chose. Our foundations will be tested in the U.S. during 2012 as Uranus squares Pluto and Pluto conjuncts Venus in the U.S. chart. Americans will have to decide what they value the most during this year.

Neptune reaches its final degree on January 15, 2012. The Sabian symbol description of Neptune at 29 degrees states, "The beautifully winged insect has just come forth into glorious adult being on completion of its metamorphosis."

Perhaps it's fitting Venus will make the final aspect to Neptune outside of Saturn on January 14. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus. Venus is the planet of love and money, and Neptune is the planet of illusion, delusion and confusion. Put these two together and you have romance, illusion, intrigue and drama, and revelations. The Great Medieval Courts of the Middle Ages could have no more drama than this. You should not assume anything to be totally true or correct until this energy passes over. This will be a day many will try to convince or be convinced by others. Remember, appearances are deceiving and only facts speak the truth. It is likely we will hear of scandals on this day or situations involving money. At its highest this paring can bring true spiritual love. This day will be significant if you were born January 11-14, May 17-20, August 19-22, November 17-21, or you have a personal planet in your natal chart being aspected at 25-29 degrees of Aquarius.

The planet of structure (Saturn) will trine Neptune January 15-February 3. This represents a time span that is a window of opportunity to solidify hopes, ideas, and compassion to others, and find a way to solve problems that is both positive and in line with reality. It is a mature appreciation for beauty and the mystical, that which lies beyond reason, and compassion and bring to fruition answers, ideas and events that have a positive, solid and uplifting result. This energy applies to individuals as well as couples and governments and governing techniques. Saturn trine Neptune is a creative flow of ideas and longings, compassion and action built into action and solid structures. The energy is there. It is up to us to take advantage of it.

Ready or Not; The Planet of Communication Goes Haywire (Mercury retrogrades)

Mercury, the planet of communication is currently in the 'shadow' period proceeding its retrograde which occurs November 24. During the shadow period, which begins at the degree where Mercury will eventually go direct, you may start to notice some of the effects typical of retrograde Mercury: mis-communication, delays and problems relating to communication of all types. Mercury will retrograde at 20 degrees of Sagittarius, the natural ruler of the ninth house of travel, education, and publishing. This will send communications of all types into a period where glitches, snarl-ups and misunderstandings are more the norm than not! This period will continue for the next three weeks, and Mercury will go 'stationary direct,' on December 14, at 3 degrees of Sagittarius.

It is best not to purchase high ticket items on retrograde Mercury, get married, make important decisions or start new projects. Events and situations will be exposed that you are unaware of. Look for delays and difficulties with equipment and communication and meetings. Your mind may not be as clear as normal and forgetfulness can be a problem. Those who are Christmas shopping would do well to finish before Mercury retrogrades, otherwise, you may be returning gifts.

New relationships that begin at this time may or may not continue after Mercury goes direct in December, and will have to withstand the test of time to know if it is a viable situation for you. Relationships begun under a retrograde often fade out when the planet goes direct. Alternatively, you may hear from someone from your past, and it is often a time of reconnecting with those we have known before. Relationships that have been limping along may break off all together.

Mercury retrogrades three or four times a year, and it marks a time to re-access, re-evaluate, clean up projects and situations from the past. It is not a time to initiate new starts, but to think situations through clearly, and with the retrograde in Sagittarius, new ideas may emerge, resulting in a clear picture of your direction or project when the Winged God moves forward next month

Fated Events and Situations

Retrograde planets often coincide with events that seem fated: that is events or situations occur that seem to be thrust on us or out of our sphere of ability to control. Business deals and projects fall through, people break up or get back together and we have seem to have no power over what is happening. Issues that have not been previously resolved come back to haunt is. Retrograde Mercury relates to the past and sometimes we reconnect with people and situations from our past.

Retrograde Mercury is a Cycle Not a Date

While Mercury officially goes retrograde November 24-December 14, it is actually a much longer cycle and events and energy will be altered at different levels during this cycle. The shadow period is when Mercurial energy actually starts to change and we become more retrospective. This period began November 5. The stationary retrograde period occurs November 24-25, and this is where the change in energy becomes obvious. Mercury reaches 20 degrees of Sagittarius, at which point it ceases moving forward and prepares to retrograde back through the previous degrees, retracing its steps. The stationary retrograde period is usually when events and situations occur, letting us know the 'communicator and the trickster,' is preparing to weave its magic and we are going into a period of altered mercurial energy that will play out for the next number of weeks. It is a period of correcting situations and reviewing the recent past. The stationary direct period will be especially significant if it is transiting a personal planet in your chart. Mercury goes 'stationary direct' on December 14-15. Next to the stationary retrograde period, more retrograde type situations (mis-communication, mis-direction) occur at this time than any other. Sometimes situations change course again at this time. The 'shadow period,' occurs between December 15, and January 2. Mercury is moving forward again, and progress is in sight but things are not totally back to full steam ahead. That will occur on January 2, when Mercury crosses the degree at which it went retrograde. Then, it's full steam into the New Year!

Calling it Quits: 40 Years of Marriage -Al and Tipper Gore

Former Vice-President/Activist Al Gore and his wife Tipper, politics' most seemingly stable couple announced Wednesday they were calling it quits after 41 years of marriage. Al Gore is a 10 degree Aries, born 3-31-1948 at 12:53PM in Washington, DC. Tennessean Al Gore's split with wife Tipper can be blamed in part, planet-wise, at least, on the final opposition of Uranus to Saturn in Virgo. He is not alone, many facing unsatisfactory marriages and relationships have separated during this difficult transit. Uranus and Saturn opposed each other in Pisces-Virgo for the final time in May, and it fell exact on his Jupiter in his fifth house of love (and love affairs). Ironically, Saturn opposes Uranus every 40 years or so, and it is reported that Al met Tipper at his senior prom. That being the case, he met her and the two became involved during the last Saturn-Uranus opposition when Saturn was in Pisces and Uranus was in Virgo. Saturn-Uranus can both give and take away, and as it turns out those two planets have played the most important part in their lives together, and this final Saturn-Uranus opposition represents the end of their cycle of life together.

Saturn is currently conjunct Gore's Jupiter, and it is likely the couple are ironing out legal details of the split at this time. Al Gore's moon, representing his emotions and the women in his life is at 3 degrees of Capricorn, and Pluto is within one degree of being conjunct. Pluto is the ultimate planet of transformation, and its influence will change a situation or destroy it. It is a harsh combination, and men with Pluto conjunct their moon are often forced to confront their feelings and emotional life in ways they haven't done so before. Neptune, the planet of illusion, confusion and delusion is transiting the former Vice-President's seventh house of marriage squaring his Venus, the planet of love. This transit can cause a relationship to fade out and generally creates a great deal of confusion. At times it can bring another party into the marriage/relationship, as well.

It is likely marriage troubles started several years ago, when Saturn opposed Uranus from his eighth to second house of joint resources, sex and feelings. Over the past several years Uranus has squared Uranus in Gore's chart, a generational transit that deals with moving into the next phase of life and often brings about changes of mood, and the desire to change lifestyles. In 2007-08 Pluto conjuncted Jupiter in his fifth house of love affairs changing his ideas and values where love are concerned. The eclipse in Cancer on June 26 falls in his fourth house, the end of the matter. Next year, 2011 Jupiter will conjunct Gore's Sun and he will find a way to re-create himself in many ways.

Tipper Gore was born 9-19-1948 at 2:40 AM in Washington, DC. She was born with a Sun and Saturn at 26 degrees of Leo. Those born with Saturn in the first house usually lead a life dedicated to putting responsibility ahead of all else. They are serious people and their obligations and responsibilities are most important. Her moon, representing her emotional life, is at 21 degrees of Aquarius, giving her an open minded emotional outlook with a somewhat of a world view. She is a fireball, and her two Leo planets lie in her soon to be ex's fifth house of love affairs, meaning it was a marriage of love at one time, with serious ideas and dreams.

Al and Tipper's comparative planets indicate they clashed more often than their public persona may have indicated. Tipper's moon at 21 degrees of Aquarius opposes Al's Mars and Saturn at 18 and 16 degrees of Leo. Saturn-Moon combinations may generate longevity, but often emotions aren't expressed easily. The moon individual (Tipper) can regard the Saturn individual as unkind and unsympathetic. Al's Mars also opposes Tipper's moon and this is a combination of emotional conflict and not generally considered favorable for marriage. It is a comparative transit that generates a great many fireworks. It is surprising the marriage lasted as long as it did, and all likelihood Tipper's views of putting responsibility first contributed to the longevity.

The Saturn-Uranus opposition in May created a square to Tipper's Uranus at 29 degrees of Gemini in her twelfth house of things secret and hidden and divorce. She too, is undergoing a generational transit that creates a desire to reassess and re-evaluate as she moves forward to her next phase of life.

Neptune the planet of illusion and confusion plays a large role in the divorce as it is currently transiting her seventh house of marriage and opposing both her Sun and Saturn. It will be, and has been, a difficult transition for her as Saturn-Neptune is referred to as "the dark night of the soul." There is often a feeling of having been not treated fairly. As with Al, it is likely she gave serious consideration to the split as she experienced a Neptune-Moon conjunction in 07 and 08. This transit often creates emotional confusion, and depression. She may have believed Al was not being faithful.

Being a Cancer ascendant, Saturn is transiting through Tipper's fourth house, often an indication of a change of home and lifestyle. Late 2010 and 2011 will be a difficult period for her as Saturn conjuncts her Neptune and Mars causing depression, and possibly anger, as well as a great deal of hard work. 2011 will bring planetary help as Jupiter transits through Aries creating positive to angles to six of her 10 planets. It is more than possible she too, will create a new job for herself. Her transformation will start when Neptune crosses her Saturn for the final time later this fall showing her new truths about herself, her situation and her life that will serve her well as she moves into the future as a single lady.

Sarah Ferguson - Desperate Duchess

Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was caught up in a tabloid sting last week selling access to her ex-husband Prince Andrew of England to an undercover tabloid reporter for the equivalent of $750,000 US dollars. Video surfaced showing Fergie accepting an initial payment of $60,000 US dollars.

The Duchess has been in some very public scrapes in the past, and this time the consequences are going to be severe where royal family ties are concerned. Sarah's Mercury and Neptune lie in the twelfth house of her chart, making Sarah herself, her own worst enemy at times. The twelfth house can represent self undoing and Mercury conjunct Neptune in Scorpio individuals have a way of looking at situations that does not fall within what would be considered normal by most people. They often march to the beat of their own drummer. These people usually deal with circumstances in their life that involve unusual, if not deceptive circumstances involving partner's or other people's money, as well as issues relating to sex. This aspect can represent a certain naiveté on one end, or deception/compulsive lying on the other end of the spectrum. They can be deceptive in their dealings with others or they can be deceived themselves. Often the truth lies in the middle. It is important for these individuals to keep all dealings with money and the opposite sex strictly above board. They are often intuitive and have a sixth sense of their own that can be confusing until they learn to interpret the many psychic signals they receive, at which time they can learn to read people and intuit their true motivations.

The twelfth house also relates to the part of the chart that reveals secret enemies. While the seventh house represents known enemies the twelfth house relates to unknown individuals whose motivations remain hidden. Sarah will always have to deal with people who do not have her best interest at heart.

The moon is prominent in Sarah's chart and it is at six degrees of Aries in the fourth house, making her an impetuous character prone to acting on impulse. It is in a cardinal sign, making her actions and her family public, giving her spark, wit, friendliness, and those with an Aires moon can sometimes act without thinking matters though carefully. Her moon lies next to the nadir, or the fourth house cusp, representing family relations and the home life. She was born to be a member of a well known family.

Moon in the fourth house individuals place a great emphasis on family and home, which can change throughout the individual's lifetime and be a great source of happiness or disruption. There can be gain through the family. Her moon is squared by Saturn, indicating childhood disappointments, divorce between her parents as a young person, and a tendency to encounter familial estrangements, and even sorrow or poverty due to family affairs. The major focus over the next several years in Sarah's chart centers around her moon-emotional and domestic situations.

Pluto is squaring Sarah's moon in Aries at 4 degrees of Capricorn. Pluto transits are lengthy, and while transiting the moon our emotions, women, home and emotional makeup come to the forefront. Psychological complexes and patters from the past can come back to haunt us. This transit will bring about some extreme emotional reactions, emotional conflicts with authority or family members representing authority, as well as disagreements over joint finances and with women. This time requires caution in all financial dealings, for reasons that are now obvious to Sarah. It represents forces beyond our ability to control and it can cause disruption in our personal lives by large scale situations. It is likely that Sarah's relationships with her former family members and the Queen will be irrevocably damaged. Pluto transits make three or four passes and this transit will occur again late November-December of this year, and late August-September of 2011.

Saturn, the planet of restriction, delays and sorrow will oppose Sarah's moon late August into September of this year. Again, those things represented by the moon will be the focus in Sarah's life at this time. Saturn-Moon transits represent times of emotional depression, loneliness and coldness in family and spousal relationships. Sometimes women of note leave our lives at this time. There is often a lack of sympathy from or toward family members-especially women, and there can be burdensome family and domestic responsibilities. It is unfavorable for dealing with those in established positions of power. It can represent a change of home, and is not conducive to any type of emotional happiness. August in general will be a stressful time for Sarah, especially around the second week as Uranus, Saturn and Pluto form a T-Square within 5 degrees of her moon, along with a mars opposition creating very stressful/emotional conditions, indicative of a breaking off of family relationships, or at the very least a very emotional and discordant time.

Uranus enters Aries on May 28, to begin the first three month stay in that sign, for an overall period of seven years. It will be within a five degree orb of her moon, meaning it is close enough to be considered active, especially with the other transits already 'activating' her moon. Moon-Uranus transits tend toward unexpected, volatile and emotional situations involving women, the family and the emotional life. It tends toward sudden, abrupt and unexpected change regarding family members, unexpected events altering domestic affairs, and sudden gains and losses, and altogether an emotional roller coaster. Uranus will retrograde back into Pisces in September 2010, returning again in March of 2011. It will be exact on her moon for the first time in April of 2012, and the final pass isn't until February of 2013.

Pluto-moon transits create death and ultimately rebirth situations of the emotional and or family life in some form. When things aren't working we often undergo a change of lifestyle or home. Pluto transit are about letting go, and breaking free of that which is holding us back, and dealing with fear. We often have to confront our 'dark' side. It is all about evolution, and ultimately the chance to rebirth ourselves emotionally.

-Saturn-Moon transits are about the material world, what we have or don't have, and require us to face or deal with a reality that may not be of our choosing. It is the 'dark night of the soul,' and we may feel left out, uncared for, alone in the world and experience separations. Business deals may go south, and progress is slow if at all. Fears and insecurities can be magnified and life burdensome. We may be called out on past actions. It is time to withdraw from the world for a while and refocus on spiritual priorities.

Uranus-Moon transits represent change, often unexpected in the home and emotional life. It is a time during which we when we cannot expect stability as there are too many shifts occurring. We may change our home, emotional outlook and family situation. Other's may create or demand change, and family members are often unreliable. It is usually an emotionally trying time, but ultimately it can be a time of freeing oneself in some way.

In the now infamous video of Sarah accepting money from the tabloid reporter she stated that her finances were 'under stress.' There is no doubt this is the case, as Pluto has conjuncted Sarah's Saturn for the past several years and will come within one degree of conjuncting it again this summer. Saturn-Pluto transits are harsh and indicative of money shortages, worry, and the possibility of some type of government restriction. Late July, Saturn squares Sarah's Saturn in her second house of money and possessions. Uranus is also squaring Saturn in her chart, another transit indicative money issues and breaking away from old situations. July represents a major financial/emotional low point.

One UK writer states the failure of the Queen and the royal family to provide her with a reasonable divorce settlement has now embarrassed them both. It is reported that Sarah receives only about $30,000 US dollars a year, no doubt a paltry settlement for a once royal person. Whatever the case, it will be a time of restriction, worry and concern over debt.

Sarah's sun sign is Libra and as Saturn re-enters Libra late July it will be in this sign until October of 2012. Sarah will go through many trials and tribulations as Saturn transits her own sign for the first time since 1980-1983. Saturn through the first house brings about a new found sense of personal self responsibility and reliance, and often represents a period of obscurity lasting for about seven years. There will be obstacles and blockages, but as Saturn completes its cycle through the first house the individual often becomes stronger and changes and decisions made during this period are usually of lasting consequence and importance. The individual can emerge a more somber and responsible person with a new found sense of stability.
