Welcome to the Revolution, Part 2-The Bailout/Fleecing of American Taxpayers

In an earlier blog/article (Keen: Starstruck Chronicles/Astrology for Daily Living) posted September 23, 2008, I wrote that The Bail Out that was before US Congress would turn out to be an unsatisfactory solution to the financial crisis in the US. - "If a deal on the Bailout is completed during the retrograde period, it will likely be far from turning out to be a satisfactory or ideal situation, or it will face additional changes in the future. The New Moon is in the US's 4th house of Libra as well, representing new beginnings on September 29. We are approaching the powerful Saturn-Uranus opposition representing total change on November 3, 2008. Who ever is elected President at that time will face economic challenges, and continued changes/challenges as a result of actions taken during this period for years into the future."

There has been a rush to judgment, along with enormous pressure for legislators to act quickly, overlooking critical factors in the agreement.

Fleecing the American Taxpayer

The Bail Out passed Congress and was signed into law Friday, October 3, 2008. While containing massive sums of money to prop up the banking industry's bad real estate loans the bill also contains $185 Billion dollars, according to some news accounts, of 'pork' legislation/spending, that is, funding to special interest groups that have nothing to do with easing the financial markets and the credit crunch.

News of, and continued revelations of who is going to get what in terms of American taxpayer assets is not going to be taken lightly by the American public and voters are going to show their displeasure in the US elections on November 4, 2008. The Saturn-Uranus opposition becomes exact the day before at 18 degrees of Virgo and Pisces. The definition of an opposition is change/new models and new approaches, and with a combination of Saturn and Uranus the change can be revolutionary, and often it not under the smoothest of conditions. The combination of Saturn and Uranus implies shortages/anger and frustration, and a total overthrow of existing situations/solutions. I have no doubt there will be revolutionary change in terms of the oversite that will accompany the financial markets/institutions/Wall Street in the future. I am equally certain that the fleecing of American taxpayer dollars into these special interest situations as contained in the Bail Out bill will also have serious ramifications, but this is going to be a very confusing long term process. Election Day only marks the beginning. The Saturn-Uranus opposition will occur 5 times over the next 18 months.

Understanding past Saturn-Uranus oppositions

To understand the future we must first understand the past, and hard aspects that occur between the planets Uranus and Saturn have occurred numerous times before at critical junctures in our history: Saturn in Virgo squared Uranus in Gemini from 1860 through mid-summer 1862. During this period Lincoln was elected President of the US,March 4, 1861 followed by the succession of the South and escalation of the conflict that was to become the Civil War.
Earlier, England finally ended hostilities toward American colonies in 1793 while Saturn in Capricorn opposed Uranus in Cancer. Congress passed the Articles of Peace, and the British disembarked from the East Coast for good.
A more recent Saturn-Uranus opposition in the mid-sixties produced social unrest and total change like no other time of the decade. Saturn was in Pisces then and Uranus in Virgo, exact reverse to what we have today with Saturn in Virgo and Uranus in Pisces.

Total change will be demanded now in the areas of jobs, healthcare, natural resources, and reform of financial/government institutions. We will be challenged to see the light and weed out the corruptness that has put us at risk financially.

Pluto/The Big Enchilada

Pluto is the planet of destiny and the collective consciousness. It entered Capricorn in January of 08, and has briefly swung back into Sagittarius for it's final 6 month stay until November 08. Pluto entered Sagittarius, the sign of expansiveness, mid-January of 1995. It leaves Sagittarius and enters Capricorn for a 17 year stay on November 27, 2008. As the ruler of our collective mindset Pluto in Capricorn will bring a far different outlook. The sign Capricorn concerns itself with security, hard work and does not suffer fools gladly. It rules the US Presidency, so any US President elected over the next 17 years will be directly tied into and influence our collective consciousness, and that of the world. We are at a turning point in history and in our collective destinies. The 17 year span of Pluto in Capricorn will cover 4 US Presidential terms. In 2022 Pluto will return to the exact degree that it occupied when the Declaration of Independence was signed. Welcome to the Revolution! It begins now.

Take care, and good luck!
Leslie
